1. Opportunity: PR & EVENT COORDINATOR

We currently have an opening in our Sales and Marketing department for someone with experience in public relations and event planning and coordination.  If you are an experienced writer with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and you enjoy working in a fast paced innovative environment; consider this opportunity.

Duties:

  • organization and coordination of trade shows, seminars, conferences including pre and post show activities.
  • assist with the development of marketing strategies and annual marketing plans
  • writing, proof reading and editing all materials used in delivering ShipConstructor’s marketing message.
  • updating CRM contact information
  • monitoring media productions for applicable industry articles
  • assist with development of customer satisfaction surveys
  • conduct market research, compile data and provide analysis and recommendations to the Sales and Marketing Manager
  • assist with development and implementation of all internal PR initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in an accredited communications or business program or  equivalent work experience
  • Experience in writing business public relations material
  • solid working knowledge of Word, Power Point and Constant Contact
  • Experience with event coordination, planning and execution

2. Opportunity: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • A thorough understanding of C++, C# and/or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • A strong background in Relational Databases and SQL
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to take direction and work well as a team member.
  • Relocation to Victoria, BC, plus valid Canadian work permit is required.

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong C++ and C# programming skills
  • 1 – 2 years experience in C++, C# and/or other object-oriented programming languages
  • 1 – 2 years experience in T-SQL and SQL Server
  • 1 – 2 years .NET Development experience
  • AutoCAD or general CAD experience (an asset)

3. Opportunity: QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

The work will involve training naval architects, ship designers and production detailers at all levels of the shipbuilding and design process on the use and functionality of the various modules of ShipConstructor software.
