Opportunity: Product Manager

We are looking for an individual to join our management team. As a ShipConstructor Product Manager you will lead our product design, training, client support and consulting teams. You will analyze customer and market trends to identify and solve market challenges. You will work with the executive management team to establish the direction of the overall product offering. You will produce and develop requirements specifications and will prioritize overall product development. You will have the opportunity to support the sales channel as a corporate representative and product expert. You will have the opportunity for regular travel to client sites, conferences and industry events around the globe.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Diploma in Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently towards high level objectives
  • Demonstrated aptitude for software technology
  • Experience in managing and developing a Product Management team for a software product
  • A well developed ability to lead and manage a diverse team of people
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • The ability to work effectively in stressful situations and maintain positive customer relations
  • The ability to work with people from various backgrounds and cultures
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Fluent in English
  • The ability and interest in regular international travel
  • Relocation to Victoria, BC, plus valid Canadian work permit is required

Asset Experience:

  • Professional experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing or a similar industry
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other CAD systems
  • Hands on experience in Product Management role

ShipConstructor offers a competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience, a full benefit package and a bonus/incentive program.
