Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proficiency on new functionality and methodology for ShipConstructor
  • Assist in providing onsite training and instruction as required by ShipConstructor clients.
  • Assist in the installation and set up of ShipConstructor software products.
  • Assist in supporting the ShipConstructor software development requirements, including direct support of application testing, and implementation.
  • Assist in identifying custom development requirements.
  • Provide IT support for client testing activities.
  • Assist in mapping processes with data between current and future processes and systems to support approved business processes and system interfaces for a client.
  • Provide all frontline software support for ShipConstructor users.
  • Assist in capturing and documenting best practices methodologies.
  • Provide recommendations for administrator and developer training.
  • Assist in developing plans for integration of other software applications.

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Demonstrated experience with ShipConstructor software applications 4 year bachelors degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, and/or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Minimum 5 years shipbuilding experience, shipbuilding design, or shipbuilding IT support
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • The ability to work effectively with people in stressful situations and maintain positive customer relations
  • The ability to work with people from various backgrounds and cultures
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
  • Fluent in English
  • Relocation to Mobile, Alabama, USA

Co-op Students

We are continuously looking for students who would like to spend their work terms with our growing team of software developers. We have been working with the University of Victoria for many years and our development team has been boosted by many former students who have completed work terms with us in the past.
