This update can only be applied to previous versions of ShipConstructor 2009. This update uses the same database version (9.110.1.0) as ShipConstructor 2009 R1.1 and therefore you do not have to update your databases if you are updating from that version.

• For users who may be affected by issue 16807, penetration cutouts in nesting, please view this KB article for an important SQL script.

This update can only be applied to ShipConstructor 2009 R1 or later. This update uses a new database version (9.110.1.0) since ShipConstructor 2009 R1.0.2 and therefore you are required to update your databases.

ShipConstructor 2009 R1 Full Install (280MB/exe)

ShipConstructor 2009 R1 is now available as a full install only. Please contact your dealer for the full install download link. If you run the full install while ShipConstructor 2008 is installed, it will act as an upgrade and will automatically upgrade ShipConstructor 2008.

• What's New: ShipConstructor 2009 R1 introduces many new features and improvements. Please read the What's New document for more details.
• Project Split & Merge Customers Please Read: Project Split & Merge is still undergoing changes to support the new features in ShipConstructor 2009. Therefore users who are using Project Split & Merge should not update to ShipConstructor 2009 until version R1.1 where this feature will be supported.
• Database Update Note: Updating a database from ShipConstructor 2008 to ShipConstructor 2009 uses the same process as updating one version of SC2008 to another, however in this case it may take several hours
• Windows Vista and Windows 7 are now supported.
• ShipConstructor 2009 cannot be installed side-by-side with ShipConstructor 2008. Installing ShipConstructor 2009 will automatically upgrade ShipConstructor 2008.
• 64 bit Support: ShipConstructor 2009 R1 does not currently support 64 bit Windows. However, 64 bit support will be coming very soon.

Please read the following carefully before running R4.4.1: ShipConstructor R4.4.1 contains the same fix found in R4.1.4 and newer versions which allows users to solve a serious error with plate nests that contain remnants. For full instructions on how to use R4.4.1 to solve this problem, please read the following KnowledgeBase Article. Any reference to R4.1.4 in this KB article can also be applied to R4.4.1. This update also contains a fixed SQL update script from R3.1 to R4 allowing users who have not updated to R4 yet to avoid this problem when they update their databases.

This update can only be applied to ShipConstructor 2008 R3 or later. This update uses a new database version (1.4.6.0) since R4.3.1 and therefore you must update your databases.

Read the following knowledgebase articles if you are updating from pre-R3.1:

• Equipment - Manager - The surface area field in the R3 Equipment Stock Editor is converted incorrectly when saved to the database in Imperial projects
• Volume, Weight and Area fields no longer include green in R3.1
• Originally fixed in R3.0.3. If you installed and ran the command in R3.0.3, you do not need to do it again: Production - Plate Nest - All plate nests created by automatic nest after R3 will share geometry - IssueID 12477

Do not download this release until you have contacted your local sales representative to update your locks. 1200 level lock licenses are the same licenses required for R4.0.1.

• NavisWorks 2010 is now supported. In order to to use NavisWorks 2010 with ShipConstructor, you must install NavisWorks before installing ShipConstructor. The ShipConstructor install will automatically select the most recent supported version of NavisWorks that is installed and add ShipConstructor support to that version only.

• Important! ShipConstructor 2008 R4.1.1 contained changes to licensing, therefore you must run the R4.1.3 update on the machine that is hosting your license server if you are updating from pre R4.1.1.
• ShipConstructor 2008 R4.1.3 requires 1200 level lock licenses. The 1200 level lock licenses should NOT be confused with Universal Licensing. Do not download this release until you have contacted your local sales representative to update your locks. 1200 level lock licenses are the same licenses required for R4.0.1.
