In R3, multiple nests created using automatic nest will result in those nests using the same geometry. This can cause a problem with nests that were automatically nested and have remnants.
Note: Even if you do not have remnants, it is highly recommended that you follow the steps below.
Steps to Fix
After updating to R3.0.3, follow these instructions carefully to fix the nests in your project:
- Connect to
your project.
- Open an empty drawing (such as Drawing1)
- Run the command SCNESTFIXSAMESTOCKNESTS. Click Yes to automatically fix the nests in your project. This will create a log file, which is displayed when the operation is complete. It is highly recommended that you check all nests shown in the log file to verify they look as you would expect.
When you re-open your nest drawings, repaired nests will all be back using their original plate stock size.
Note: When the command has completed, you may get a message stating: "You may need to delete nests created from these remnants and then delete the remnant, then re-create". The reason you may want to delete and recreate the remnant is because the remnant fix can result in keywords related to the geometry of the stock plate to display incorrectly. Recreating the remnant is the only way to make the keywords display properly.
