The database size may not be displayed properly in Administrator in ShipConstructor 2011. The issue will happen if the SQL server installation gets modified on the server computer after ShipConstructor 2011 is installed on the user machine. The incorrect behaviour exists when either SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008, which are both supported by ShipConstructor 2011, is installed on the server computer.
This problem can be resolved by performing certain steps on the server computer. The steps must be undertaken regardless of the of the particular SQL server version that may be currently installed on the server computer. The instructions are equally good for SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 installations.
Step 1: Install Windows Installer 4.5
Step 2: Install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Native Client
Step 3: Install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects
Step 4: Install SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1
Step 5: Restart the machine
