Project
Largest USCG certified Casino Vessel built in the US.
Project Highlights
Guido Perla & Associates used ShipConstructor to
create an integrated 3D model of the vessel, from which
they could easily generate detailed engineering
drawings. Field liaison personnel also used the
ShipConstructor 3D model, together with NavisWorks Roamer, as a powerful communication tool.
ShipConstructor helped control quality, and therefore
reduce re-work. ShipConstructor also eliminated the need
to create backgrounds/composites, which helped reduce
the time needed for the mechanical systems.
ShipConstructor’s HVAC module was also used to model
electrical wireways, an innovative use of
ShipConstructor’s toolset.
A unique vessel in a lot of ways, from having helped
define new USCG policies on fire protection standards,
to the fact that it is entirely built on site (“stick
built”) in Michigan City, Indiana, not in a shipyard.
