Project Highlights
Project Management - Parts and materials for the structure, piping, foundations and outfitting for the complex vessel were planned, purchased, and kitted by integrating the extensive data created by ShipConstructor’s SQL server database with the Primavera project management software. During the past several years of using ShipConstructor, Bender has been able to reduce the total number of man-hours per vessel by about 50%.

Virtual Reality Fly-Throughs - Allowed Bender Shipbuilding to head off many downstream design changes by incorporating regularly scheduled Virtual Reality Fly-Through meetings with both Production and Owners' representatives. Issues of installation, operation, and maintenance were dealt with at the desirable stage - before the 3D product model was committed to produce the production drawings.

Interference Checking - Bender’s ability to successfully deal with all kinds of interference problems was drastically increased with the help of the complete ShipConstructor package.
