Products & Solutions

ShipConstructor is the dominant AutoCAD-based 3D product modeling and production planning software for the marine industry. ShipConstructor 2006 marries AutoCAD’s ease-of-drafting with the logical powers of a sleek SQL Server database design. This will bring you unprecedented savings, and opportunities to improve your design process. It also gives you the tools to streamline your entire production process.

OUR TOTAL SOLUTIONS APPROACH TO SHIPBUILDING

MODEL

Using our unique DDROM™ SmartParts™ technology, ShipConstructor 2006 can be used much earlier in the design cycle. You can now efficiently create a 3D structural classification model and deliver automatically derived 2D drawings for approval. All the while, you are confident that any changes can be easily implemented into the production detail model. ShipConstructor provides all the necessary functions to build a production-grade 3D Product Model consisting of hull plating, structure with all details, pipe, HVAC, and equipment, all rounded off by the penetrations.

All data is stored in one single database making it easy not only for designers, but also for managers and production to get up-to-date information when they need it and how they need it.

PLAN

Production can only be as good and as efficient as the production documentation allows. Properly planning every step of assembly and providing detailed step-by-step documentation is the key to money savings and better product quality.

ShipConstructor allows you to simply create the most efficient build strategy containing every step of the build process in graphical and tree form.

DOCUMENT

With the build strategy in place, you can now generate production documentation such as nest drawings and NC-code, assembly drawings, pipe spool, profile plots, arrangement drawings, and production reports. Thus, it is easy to provide each worker with step-by-step instructions. Best of all, our DDROM technology updates all production drawings when changes to the product model are made.

BUILD

Build with confidence, knowing that all departments are using the same data from the central product model at all times. There is no time wasted by having to inform other departments of design changes, or worse, errors being made by working with the wrong data. The hull, structure, piping, HVAC, and equipment data all feed into the same 3D product model that is concurrently accessed by all parties involved. Concurrent engineering is a natural with ShipConstructor.
